About Lazy W

Since the summer of 1954, we have been creating amazing experiences for children and youth. We are a year-round camp and retreat center in the Cleveland National Forest, outside of San Juan Capistrano, California. Our 160 acre site operates a residential summer camp, specialized weekend retreats, and hosts groups from all over Southern California and beyond.  Come explore the natural beauty of our canyon and experience the growth and joy that comes from living in community with one another.

Setting

Nestled beneath the slopes of the Santa Ana Mountains 14 miles

east of San Juan Capistrano, Lazy W Ranch Camp is a special

place where the Hot Springs Canyon creek fills the canyon with the sound of flowing water during the year while surrounded by towering mountains.  With an abundance of plant and wildlife communities, Lazy W Ranch is a natural place to explore God’s creation and experience community. Lazy W Ranch Camp’s camping programs include events for children, youth and adults.

We are committed to providing quality experiences and a safe environment. Lazy W Ranch Camp’s American Camp Association accreditation means that it annually undergoes a thorough (up to 300 standards) review of its operation and program with a keen eye for safety and quality.​

Please Note: Lazy W Ranch is not wheelchair accessible.Use or possession of illegal drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited. Any smoking is extremely limited due to fire danger.
